Environmental Modifications
Occupational therapists working in home and environmental modifications work with clients to improve the quality of life for older adults in their home environment so that they can continue to safely and independently stay in their home as they age. Modifications may include changes to the structural, layout or design of a home to improve accessibility and livability of a client’s home.

In addition to providing home modification information to the community, HMInfo hosts discussion forums and produces research and technical publications to support home modification service providers, researchers, practitioners and industry.
