Seeking Feedback: Inquiry into Palliative Care in Western Australia

The Joint Select Committee on Palliative Care in Western Australia is conducting an inquiry into palliative care in Western Australia. Details of the inquiry, including its terms of reference, can be found at the Committee’s website, here.

OTA members are invited to provide feedback on any aspect of the inquiry, to inform OTA’s response. Consideration should be made to occupational therapists delivery of service associated with palliative care funding announcements in 2019–2020, as well as the implementation of recommendations of the Joint Select committee into end of life choice (chapter 3 of the report). Further consideration on equity of access to palliative care between metropolitan, regional and remote areas is encouraged.
