Shared Code of conduct consultation
Have your say on your shared Code of conduct – consultation closes 6 July
The Occupational Therapy Board of Australia along with 11 other National Boards and Ahpra, is consulting on a revised shared Code of conduct (the code) and invites you to have your say before 6 July.
The code outlines the professional behaviour the National Board expects from a registered occupational therapist. It also provides a guide for practitioners about best practice. Now is your chance to give feedback to help make the code more relevant to your profession and better able to protect the public.
While not suggesting major changes, the updated code includes new guidance about bullying and harassment, vexatious complaints, clinical governance and setting performance targets that could affect patient safety.
Making a submission
To read about these additions to the code, review the consultation paper and access supporting documents, please see the Board's website. You can make your submission using an online submissions form or via a word template. The consultation is open until 6 July 2021.
For more information please read the Board’s news item.
