Important Notice for OTs Wanting to Work in NSW Government Schools
The NSW Department of Education is calling for expressions of interest as it seeks to establish a Specialist Allied Health Service to Schools – Pre-Qualification Scheme.
The Scheme will comprise a panel of pre-qualified external providers and is intended to support NSW government schools across the state to meet their legal obligations to students with disability by facilitating quick and easy access to specialist allied health services where needed to enable school access, attendance and participation.
Schools will use the scheme to select their preferred suppliers and the aim of the scheme is to establish an arrangement for engagement under the NSW Human Services framework to reduce red tape for providers and simplify the engagement process for schools.
Services are expected to be available under the Scheme commencing term one 2020.
The department is organising a market briefing on 1 October 2019 from 13.30 to 15.00 at Conference Room No 1.03 (Level 1), 105 Philip Street, Parramatta NSW 2150.
Organisations wanting to attend the market briefing are required to RSVP to E: pstenders@det.nsw.edu.au by 2pm, 27 September 2019 providing the names of the attendees.
Attendees are limited to 2 per organisation and organisations can also participate by phone or skype.
