OTA attends DSC Annual NDIS conference and Important update about the NDIS Review
OTA attended the first day of the DSC Annual NDIS conference in Sydney and was very interested to hear from key stakeholders and leaders within the disability sector on the current and future issues. Speakers at the conference include Minister Shorten, Bruce Bonyhady and Lisa Paul NDIS Independent Review Co-Chairs, Rebecca Falkingham NDIA CEO, and many other leaders who work within the sector. More information about the conference here.
At the conference two discussion papers released today by the NDIS Review were discussed, one outlining the potential future for NDIS pricing and payments, and another on improving access to supports in remote and First Nations communities. OTA will be carefully reviewing these papers and preparing a response that advocates for our members. You can find links to the papers here:
The role of pricing and payment approaches in improving participant outcomes and scheme sustainability.

You can also have your say on these issues direct to the NDIS Review here.
