Mental Health Statement of Principles

OTA has joined leading Australian mental health organisations with Statement of Priorities for Health and Mental Health Ministers meeting on 16 Aug.  

We call on Australian, State and Territory Governments to come together to address the gap in mental health services between primary care and acute and emergency services. 

Four priority area for action have been identified by Mental Health Australia and its members for intergovernmental agreement at the upcoming Ministers meeting: 

  • System reform and integration 

  • Psychosocial supports 

  • Mental health workforce 

  • Infant, child and youth services.
