Louise Van Willigen Memorial Professional Development Scholarship
Established in 2004, the Louise Van Willigen Memorial Professional Development Scholarship was an annual scholarship of Occupational Therapy Australia - Queensland Division.
It was established to provide financial resources to enable applicants to access continuing professional development activities.
These activities may assist the applicant to acquire skills and knowledge that will promote leadership of the profession, provide vision in developing occupational therapy services, and to positively influence the development of the profession for the future.
These goals are in accordance with the professional life and values held by Louise Van Willigen.

About Louise Van Willigen
Louise was a guide and mentor in our professional association and served as president for two terms from 1986 - 1988 also filling the roles of vice president and treasurer/secretary at other times.
She was a great visionary for the occupational therapy profession encouraging a high standard of professional skills and involvement in our professional association.
Louise, along with dedicated groups of volunteer members, (particularly during the 70s and 80s) worked to provide all member services to keep the association moving forward with the vision of a strong and well respected profession.
