MENTAL HEALTH FOUNDATIONS MODULE
MENTAL HEALTH STRUCTURED THERAPEUTIC INTERVENTIONS
Structured therapeutic interventions provide additional tools to assist occupational therapists in addressing the individual needs of their clients and are used to support occupation-focused interventions. Occupational therapists can draw on a range of structured therapeutic tools and interventions to improve the health and well-being of individuals seeking care, focusing on reducing the impact of clinical symptoms, improving the person’s functional capacity and ability to pursue activities, occupations and goals and promote recovery. This module will provide you with new knowledge and skills in structured therapeutic interventions.
Built on the OTA Mental Health Capability Framework, this self-directed eLearning and Development Module will assist occupational therapists in focusing their scope of practice on mental health to build foundational knowledge and skills in structured therapeutic interventions.
Developed by OTs for OTs, this module provides an introduction to structured therapeutic interventions.
